Are you looking for a one bowl, low fuss brownie recipe? I’ve got an easy almond flour brownies recipe that’s perfect for busy families and doesn’t fail on flavor too.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding played a big role in my sweet cravings going through the roof. I found it harder to eat in a balanced fashion and the more I ate sweet sugary treats the worse I felt in my body and overall energy levels.
After giving in to my cravings for a while I finally decided to take charge of the situation and honor my body’s cravings alongside nourishment.
One easy way to stay full longer is to build meals and snacks that contain a good amount of fiber, protein and fats. This combination ensures you don’t experience extreme glucose spikes and also enjoy the yummy desserts you like.
To satisfy my intense chocolate cravings postpartum I decided to make a healthier more nutrient dense version of my favorite chocolate brownies. Almond flour brownies!
These are so dense, delicious and gooey and at the same time so incredibly satisfying that you don’t need to eat a whole lot to feel full. Both cravings and fullness signals are checked off with this recipe.

WHY ALMOND FLOUR?
Mainly to add more nutrients to my meals postpartum. Almond flour is a good source of protein, fiber, iron and calcium, all nutrients that are important for breastfeeding mothers. The good nutrition profile also makes these brownies a great option for my toddler and older child both of whom are very active and eat little and need nutrient packed meals and snacks.
Almond flour is also the perfect option for those who need gluten-free brownie recipes.
Plus the nutty flavor that almond flour lends to desserts just gives them that distinctive yummy flavor.
