Ingredients
1headbroccoli
1/4tspgarlic powder
1/4tspblack pepper powder
salt to taste
2-3tbspolive oil
Instructions
Wash and chop the broccoli into florets and make sure that the florets are completely dry.
On a baking tray spread the broccoli and sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle some olive oil until evenly coated.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
Bake the broccoli for 20 minutes for a crispy texture. At the 10-minute point stop and turn the broccoli florets around and restart again.
Once done, serve with sriracha sauce or ketchup.
Notes
Another way to make broccoli is by pan frying.Here is how I go about it.Start by blanching the broccoli in boiling water and cooking for about 2-3 minutes. Follow this by transferring to an ice-cold water bowl. Leave it in ice-cold water for another 2-3 minutes.Once blanched, pat dry each broccoli floret on a kitchen towel, and now use this broccoli for pan-frying.Heat olive oil in a pan, add 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic, and saute lightly until garlic flavor is released in the oil.Now add the broccoli florets, salt, and pepper and cook with intermittent stirring for another 5-7 minutes until a golden brown crispy texture develops on the florets.
