Easy Green Apple Jam

A yummy green apple jam that is so easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 Green apples chopped
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Lemon/lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  •  Wash, peel and chop the apples into small pieces and cook them in about ½ cup water for 10 minutes.
  •  Once the apple pieces are soft and mushy, mash them with a potato masher.
  •  If you like a smooth texture in your jam, you can blitz it in the blender and then continue to the next step.
  • Now add a cup of sugar and keep intermittently stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to thicken.
  •  When the mixture starts to thicken add the juice of half a lemon and mix well for another 5 minutes until the jam is ready.
  • To check if your jam is ready, test with a spoon. If the mixture does not slide off the spoon easily, the jam is ready to be transferred to sterilized glass jars.
  •   Once done, cool and store in glass jars.

Notes

This recipe makes about 400 grams of green apple jam.
