Ingredients
4Green apples chopped
1cupSugar
1/2Lemon/lime juice
1/2cupWater
Instructions
Wash, peel and chop the apples into small pieces and cook them in about ½ cup water for 10 minutes.
Once the apple pieces are soft and mushy, mash them with a potato masher.
If you like a smooth texture in your jam, you can blitz it in the blender and then continue to the next step.
Now add a cup of sugar and keep intermittently stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to thicken.
When the mixture starts to thicken add the juice of half a lemon and mix well for another 5 minutes until the jam is ready.
To check if your jam is ready, test with a spoon. If the mixture does not slide off the spoon easily, the jam is ready to be transferred to sterilized glass jars.
Once done, cool and store in glass jars.

This recipe makes about 400 grams of green apple jam.
